Membership is open to citizen of all nationalities. Presently there are approximately 900 member from some 25 countries, of whom around two thirds are family members.

Facilities include an excellent Bar, Restaurant, Swimming Pool, Babies' Pool and Children's Play ground. The Club offers swimming and tennis lessions for Members and their children..

Activities include bridge, cricket, billiards and snooker, soccer, rugby, squash, tennis (lawn and floodlit hard courts), Darts and Golf. A varied programme of entertainment and fun sporting events is also arranged throughout the year.
 

The Mariner Club (Opposite Klong Toey Port entrance) 

Despite its name, the Mariner Club is open to those unconnected with the Shipping companies and may interest those unable to join other major clubs. A swimming pool, tennis courts,football pitch, bar and catering facilities are available. Entrance fee is 2,000 Baht and Monthly dues are 250 Baht. No waiting list.

A prestigious club offering an excellent range of activities and facilities including tennis courts (grass and hard courts), squash courts, swimming pools and swimming lessons, jogging track, restaurant, sauna and 18 hole golf course. Horse racing held every second Suunday and open to the public. Membership open to all nationalities. Currently there is a long waiting list. Membership automatically includes membership to the Polo Club.

The club is part of the Royal Bangkok Sports Club. There is a waiting list and membership requires two sponsorsfrom current R.B.S.C. members. Facilities are excellent and include riding lession for adults and children. Subscription is an initial fee of 227.894.40 baht plus 1,412.40 baht monthly.

Soi Phromsri between Sukhumvit 39 and 49 Badminton, squash, racquet ball, swimming, table tennis,and tennis are offered as well as aerobics. There is also a gymnasium. Membership fee is 6,000 baht per annum or 4,200 baht per six months or 2,700 baht per three months.

GOLF

There are many beautiful courses in and around Bangkok and many country courses, open seven day a week. The green fees range from 3-1,000 baht during the week and double this amount on weekends. Caddies are available on all courses and are paid 100-200 baht for 18 holes.

Travel past Sukhothai Open University and take left hand turn through guardpost into Krong Kan 2 (housing Estate). Lake is on left hand side. Equipment is for hire.
 

VOLUNTRY WELFARE WORK

Bangkok's welfare institution provide a wide range of opportunities for volunteer work. Professional workers, e.g. doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and social workers are always in demand. Volunteers with practical skills provide invaluable assistance by visiting and caring for children within institutions and by fund raising, collecting basis necessities and organising untrained workers.

Pakkred Babies Home Bangkok. This home is a public residential establishment where abandoned children are cared for from birth to 5years.This home also has a section for the mentally and physically handicapped and there is a desperate need for helpers in this area.
