Industry in Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is the world's 7th largest
producer and the 5th largest exporter of natural rubber (NR). It is also the major
supplier of high quality latex crepe to the world market and the world's largest
manufacturer and exporter of solid tyres for off-road-vehicles. Nearly 60% of
the NR production in Sri Lanka is used for value added rubber products. The bulk
of these value-added products are for the export market. Foreign investors from
20 countries have set up lucrative and long standing world class ventures under
BOI approval. The 59 BOI approved rubber industry projects consume nearly 75%
of Sri Lanka's total domestic NR production.

product is manufactured from Natural Rubber by foaming and gelling using the Dunlop
Process. The product is unique in that it is a 100% natural product, which means
it is totally bio degradable and environmentally friendly. The natural properties
of latex are unique and the mattress core provides for comfort utility longevity
and is competitively priced.
Resin Rubber Shoe Soling Sheets
These
sheets are manufactured out of Synthetic Butadiene Rubber and High Steering State
of the Art machinery is used in the production of these sheets and conforms to
Italian technological standards with close supervision from the collaborating
partner who is DAVOS s.p.a Italy.

The
Rubber Mats Industry is the oldest of the 3 Exports products and has sustained
itself successfully in the American, European, Australian and Middle East markets.

product has a demand world wide in terms of components for the shoe industry.
